The new 2025 Nissan Z is a hot sports car this year and continues to prove itself as a popular revival of a true classic. The new Z comes with a wide variety of customization choices, three core trim levels, and the option to choose between an automatic and a standard transmission.
1. Nissan Z: Sport Trim
The Sport is the core trim for the Nissan Z, coming equipped with 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels and LED headlights with signature Daytime Running Lights. Inside, you’ll see a 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility, and a 3-bay gauge pod. With the Sport trim, you also have the option to choose between a manual and automatic transmission.
The Sport is RWD and comes standard with a 400 horsepower, 3.0L engine and twin turbo. It features 2-piston front and 1-piston rear calipers, side sill spoilers, and a stylish cloth seat trim. You’ll also get standard features like a 6-speaker audio system and NissanConnect with an 8-inch touchscreen.
2. Nissan Z: Performance Trim
The Performance trim is the next tier up from the Sport, featuring special upgrades to the pistons, spoiler, wheels, and lots of interior goodies, as well. Like the Sport, the Performance trim also comes standard with a 400 horsepower, 3.0L engine and twin turbo capabilities. It also comes equipped with audio upgrades like an 8-speaker Bose Premium audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay integration, and more advanced tech like built-in Alexa.
The exterior features 19-inch RAYS forged-alloy wheels with front and rear chin spoilers. The interior gets a nice upgrade with leather-appointed seats and an upgraded NissanConnect 9-inch touchscreen with added Navigation and Services. Like the Sport trim, you can also switch out the automatic transmission in this trim for a manual transmission (unavailable on the NISMO trim).
3. Nissan Z: NISMO Trim
The NISMO is the highest tier of the Z, with upgrades to performance and the interior/exterior of the vehicle. You’ll notice immediate upgrades like the exclusive NISMO aerodynamic body design and an integrated rear spoiler (only available on the Performance and NISMO trims). It features specialized NISMO/Akebono pistons, while the engine also gets an upgrade and tune, adding 20 extra horsepower to the car’s performance.
The new Nissan Z is a sports car that vintage car lovers and modern enthusiasts won’t want to miss, with nods to the classics and plenty of upgrades as well.
