The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is a midsize SUV that’s spacious, stylish, and family-friendly. The Pathfinder range has grown in both popularity and size since the first model arrived on the scene in 1985. Let’s dive in and check out some of the major features of this latest edition.

Engine, Transmission, and Drivetrain

There are five trims available for the 2023 Pathfinder, and all utilize a powerful and reliable gas 3.5 liter V6 engine with 284HP and 259lb of torque. This engine is mated with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The resulting combination produces a smooth and quiet ride over short and long distances.

FWD or AWD drivetrains are available with all trim levels. The AWD version features seven driving modes, including sand and mud, which provide a genuine off-road driving capability. In addition, the new Pathfinder has a towing capability of 6,000 pounds with the optional tow hitch attached that allows you to haul a midsized trailer with ease.

Fuel Economy

The Pathfinder scores highly on fuel efficiency, with the FWD providing 20MPG in the city and 27MPG on the highway. The AWD drive is slightly more economical at 21MPG in the city and 27MPG on the highway.

Interior

The interior has three rows of seats and can comfortably seat eight adults. Space can be at a premium in a midsize SUV, but the Pathfinder provides more than enough room even in the third row. The second row of seats can be swapped for captain’s chairs. This option reduces the seating capacity to seven people but is a perfect family-friendly option.

Infotainment

The standard S trim includes an 8″ infotainment screen powered by NissanConnect. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also standard, together with a six-speaker stereo system. Optional extras include a thirteen-speaker Bose stereo, a 12.3″ digital display, WiFi hotspot capability, a Sirius XM satellite radio, and wireless charging facilities.

Cargo Capacity

With all the seats up, the Pathfinder has 16.6 cubic feet of space in the trunk. Available space increases to 45 cubic feet with the third row removed. If you lower all the seats, over 80 cubic feet of storage space is available. In addition, there is also handy under-floor storage and numerous bins and pockets in the cabin for smaller items you need.

Safety Features

The Pathfinder’s standard trim provides forward collision indication, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring with driver alert, and rear automatic braking. Higher trim levels provide additional features, including a surround-view camera system, lane-keeping assist, and a semi-autonomous driving mode called ProPilot.

These are only a few of the numerous features the 2023 Pathfinder has to offer. Call us today at Coughlin Nissan of Heath and take a test drive to experience them yourself.
