Americans love their crossover SUVs, so much so that these compact SUVs account for nearly half of all auto sales. If you’ve been thinking about a crossover SUV, the Nissan Rogue has two rows of seating, lots of standard technology features, and better fuel economy estimates than others in its class. Whether you need more space for your family or simply want to join the compact crossover SUV pack, the 2023 Rogue might be your new favorite set of wheels.

Trim Levels

All four 2023 Rogue models — S, SV, SL, and Platinum — have a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder

engine that can produce 201 horsepower and 225 lb.-ft. torque. The inline-three engine works with a continuously variable automatic transmission and front-wheel drive (all-wheel drive is optional). Automated engine stop/start is now standard across the lineup as well.

1. S

The S trim is the Rogue’s base model, and interior features include cloth seating, storage cubbies, and a bi-level dashboard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Add in 72 feet of cargo space and the ability to integrate your smartphone using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and suddenly the Rogue S begins to stand out from other competitors in its class.

2. SV

The SV trim includes convenience features, such as Nissan’s remote engine start system with intelligent climate control, as well as upgraded design elements, like 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Additionally, the SV trim includes Nissan’s Connect Services. Activate by saying, “Hey Nissan,” and then use simple voice commands to have your Rogue do tasks like set destinations, change the radio channel, and modify the temperature.

SV Midnight Edition Package

For 2023, Nissan is offering a brand-new Midnight Edition package for the SV. This appearance package adds a glossy black finish to the Rogue’s front and rear bumper trim pieces, V-Motion grille, outside mirrors, roof rails, rear diffuser, rear badging, and 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Inside, there are black vegan leather seats.

3. SL

The SL comes with a dual-panel panoramic moonroof and genuine leather upholstery. Nissan’s Intelligent Around View Monitor, a four-camera system that offers a virtual 360° bird’s-eye view of your vehicle and the surrounding area from above, also comes standard. With the SL, you have the option of a bigger 9.0-inch infotainment screen and Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist, which adds a semi-autonomous driving mode.

4. Platinum

When you step into a Rogue with Platinum trim, you’ll be greeted with an interior that has quilted, semi-aniline leather-appointed seats. There’s a 12.3-inch reconfigurable digital gauge cluster that is unique to this trim level and is accompanied by a large 10.8-inch head-up display and wireless smartphone charging pad. Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist, a semi-autonomous driving mode, also comes standard with the Platinum trim.
